Turkish CRC imports down 6.7% in January-February

In February this year, Turkey’s imports of cold-rolled coil (CRC) increased by 16.7% month-on-month to 54,813 tons, up 16% year-on-year, according to data provided by the Institute. Turkish Statistics (TUIK). The value of these imports was $57.62 million, up 13.4% from January and 80.7% year-on-year.

Meanwhile, during the January-February period of this year, Turkey’s CRC imports amounted to 101,758 metric tons, down 6.7% year-on-year, while revenue generated from these imports totaled $108.42 million, up 49.4% from the same period of 2021.

In the first two months of this year, Russia ranked first among Turkey’s CRC import sources, supplying 52,615 metric tons, down 32.9% year-on-year. other. Meanwhile, during the period considered, Turkey’s CRC imports from China totaled 13,223 tonnes.
