Two Women Arrested on Drug-Related Charges; Turkey hunter who fired shotgun at landowners released on bail

Two Humphreys women were arrested in Grundy County on drug-related charges.

Bond is $10,000 cash each for Dalecasi Crisp, 58, and Michelle Dalton, 54. They are charged with criminal possession of methamphetamine and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia which were listed as a smoking pipe. Crisp was also charged with alleged possession of less than ten grams of marijuana and driving a vehicle on a highway without a valid driver’s license.

A Grundy County sheriff’s deputy made the arrests on Saturday. Both women are scheduled to appear in the Associated Division of Grundy County Circuit Court on May 10.and.

The Jamesport man accused of shooting another person has been released on bail from the Grundy County Detention Center.

Allen Detweiler, 22, whose address is 653 65and Street was charged with felony unlawful use of a weapon by allegedly firing a bullet with a shotgun at two hunters who were pursuing him and his brother on Saturday.

Authorities said the incident happened after Detweiler shot and killed a turkey on a nearby property. Court records identify the location in southwest Grundy County as southwest 50and Street and Southwest 80and Street.

The poaching investigation was led by Corporal Caleb Pryor and his canine partner from the Missouri Department of Conservation, Waylon. The file says Detweiler shot two other turkey hunters described as chasing him and his brother as they fled the scene. The DA’s office listed them as Zachary Ferguson and Luke Pope.

Detweiler is due to appear on May 10and in the Grundy County Associated Division of the Circuit Court.
